QUESTIONS?

How old does my child have to be to register?
Camps will be open to all boys and girls aged from 6 to 16 years.

Can parents or guardians watch the training?
Parents are welcome to take the opportunity to spectate, provided they do not interfere with the process of the program and they need to remain off the field at all times.

There will usually be a coffee cart so you can get your fix as you watch!

What things should my child bring to the camp?
A welcome email will be sent to all participants prior to camp, but essentials are:

  • Water Bottle
  • Boots
  • Running Shoes / Sneakers
  • Shin Pads
  • Food / Snacks (especially if the camp is an all day camp format)
  • Sunscreen
  • Jacket

Children will have their bags on the edge of the field. When training ends, each child is responsible for his or her bag. It is a great idea that bags be identified with your name. It is requested that do not carry any valuables and that children wear clothes with the badge of any other team or club.

When are uniforms given to children?
During registration there may be an option to have the Uniform couriered (depending on the camp location). Otherwise Uniforms can be collected from the venue on allocated uniform collection days. Information for these days will be outlined in your Camp Welcome Email.

Who are the coaches?

Coaches are sent directly from the FCB Escola in Barcelona to conduct the camp. The FCB coaches operate with a ratio of 1:36 (or three teams maximum). FCB coaches are also assisted by locally appointed coaches, at a ration of 1:12 (one team maximum). The local coaches are previously certified and selected by FC Barcelona in order to facilitate the world class training.

What if a camp is cancelled for any reason?

Wherever possible Camps are run on all-weather pitches and will go ahead, regardless of weather (as long as safety is not compromised). This is however subject to change or cancellation without notice. If the camp is cancelled due to logistical reasons full refunds are issued within 28 days of cancellation or participants can choose to attend any of the other camps based on availability. Please see our full cancellation policy here.

Client Cancellation & Refund Policy

If YOU choose to cancel YOUR registration, BCN must receive written notice of said cancellation either via certified mail, overnight courier, or e-mail sent to info@bcnsportsanz.com (with confirmation of receipt thereof from BCN), and YOU shall be subject to the following cancellation fee schedule: If we receive a written notice prior 60 days of the camp date, we will retain $65.00 as compensation for the registration expenses. If we receive written notice between 30-60 days of the camp date, we will retain 50% of the payment fee paid. If we receive written notice of cancellation within 30 days of the camp date, there will be no refunds of the amount paid for the FCB Escola Camps. If the participant simply does not show up to the camp, there will be no refunds for the amount paid or equipment shipped to participant.

Is this scouting for La Masia?

The Camp offers players the chance to see how FC Barcelona’s youth and first teams train. It is not designed or run to recruit or scout players. Whilst the coaches are FCB Escola employees and are always looking for talent, camps do not send players to the FC Barcelona youth system directly.

How do I choose the size of the uniform?

This size guide you can help. If in doubt between two, we suggest ordering the larger size. Unfortunately, we work on a strict ordering basis and cannot change sizes at camp, so please consider this carefully when ordering!
